We will put up a website dedicated to the batch. Apart from documentation of events, there will also be documentation of daily OrCom life – acads-related, and otherwise. The website will also serve as a venue for online fora and for members to submit questions and/or feedback.
Facebook
A Facebook profile will be created that would be free for use by members of the batch. They can announcements or questions regarding OrComSoc activities, academics, etc., as well as photos, videos and notes.
Yahoo! Group
The batch Y! Group can serve as an addition to the member’s options for online connection. The difference is that with the Y! Group members can share and exchange files and messages with greater control over privacy.
Weekly Updates
It is important that the organization’s presence is felt and that each member’s presence is recognized as well. Weekly updates will be delivered about upcoming events, past events, whatever is in line with current activities of the org., or even if there isn’t much coming up also to let them know if they have idle time for other endeavors. Appropriate media will be employed for the updates to ensure members are kept in the loop.
Text Messaging
SMS will be used for info that require quick relay, and as support for the other channels. This also serves as the best way for members to R.S.V.P. to secure attendance and remittances, to engage the members and gauge their commitment to the organization.

- Facilitate team-building activities. These will help develop leadership skills, discover the potentials of Third year OrCom majors, promote camaraderie and build a sense of solidarity as a batch.
- Organize a seminar for Internship to prepare the students before the actual summer work.
- Publish a directory of possible companies to apply in for the summer internship. This will be achieved through the research and involvement of third year OrCom students.
- Update the student directory of the batch and distribute to the students.
- Organize an outreach program as a form of gratitude to the society while making the students aware of our social responsibilities.
- Provide an equipment (that is necessary, but affordable) for the Department of Arts & Communications (DAC) as a special Batch Project.
- Achieve the previous task through a Fund-Raising Activity:
- Bazaar (a practical application of marketing skills);
- Batch Concert (an actual experience of events organizing);
- Or any other strategy as the majority will suggest.
